PURE Grips at AGCP Show in Columbus, GA
The show was at the Columbus Convention Center, which was an amazing place. The buildings were built in 1853 and used to be an iron works for making farm equipment. It made fire arms during the Civil War, and is now beautifully restored for sue as a convention and meeting facility. Check out the Convention Center here or check out some of our pictures of the facilities and the rest of our trip here.
So, we spent a few days hanging around in an amazing building, meeting and talking golf with some of the craziest golf addicts alive, adding to our knowledge base of clubfitting and telling people about PURE Grips' all-weather golf grips and tapeless golf grip installation. Tough job, huh? We were also able to do some other fun stuff on this trip. We snuck in a round of golf in Atlanta at Wolf Creek Golf Club. Check it out here or see some pictures here. This was a pretty cool course, but it was sopping wet. It rained for days before we got there, and it rained for days after we got there but the day we arrived was pretty nice and we got to play. The course was in beautiful rolling hills, lots of elevation change, pine trees and lakes. An enjoyable round and another beating for Founder Michael Smith in the Founder's Cup Series. Founder Wes Brasher delivered a stout 6&4 beating on Mike, but they were both happy to have hit the only day of sunshine all week!
One other ancillary benefit of this trip; Mike found his future retirement home. Could be scary for the ladies of Columbus. Actually, that picture looks more like a cheetah, I guess they will be alright since they could easily outrun Mike.
Thanks to the crew at McNix for helping us get everything we needed at the show, looking forward to getting back next year!
